They have also entered into a Fire Agreement with the City of Swift Current Fire Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Insurance Coverage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Property owners are responsible for paying the cost of fighting fires on their property. Check with your insurance agent to determine if your fire insurance policy covers the cost of fighting fires. It is possible to obtain an endorsement with an additional premium to provide coverage to reimburse you for any costs incurred in fighting a fire. Grass and brush fires generate substantial fire fighting costs and are usually caused by carelessness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rate<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>$1,036.34 per hour<br>Maximum $2500.00 for ratepayers<br>Maximum $5000.00 for Commercial ratepayers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Controlled Burn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any landowner planning to have a controlled burn on their property should contact the Municipal Office. <strong>They also need to advise the Control Burn Centre<\/strong> of their intent to have a controlled burn and indicate the date, time and location on which they are planning to do so. Failure to do so may result in a substantial fire bill if a well-meaning passerby calls in a fire report.
