Grading
Grading of roads is done on a regular rotation basis with grid roads and high traffic roads receiving first priority. Grader work is coordinated by the RM of Rudy Foreman and the RM of Rudy Council. A ratepayers’ first line of contact is with their division Councilor if there is an issue, complaint or concern.
Gravelling
Gravelling priorities are set by the RM of Rudy Foreman and the Councilor for each division, which becomes part of the Strategic Plan for the RM of Rudy.
Mowing Ditches
The RM of Rudy ditch-mowing program takes place from June through September in accordance with the RM of Rudy’s Strategic Plan.
Dust Control
The RM of Rudy offers a dust control program to all ratepayers within the RM. However, ratepayers that live along the CTP (Clearing The Path) are offered some assistance in paying for the dust control program. Other ratepayers may participate in our dust control program application at their own cost.
Snow Removal
The RM of Rudy will undertake the removal of snow utilizing the municipal equipment in the following priority:
- Grid Roads
- School Bus Routes
- Farm Access and Residential Roads
The RM of Rudy does custom snow removal as requested if time allows. Prior to entering private land for the purposes of snowplowing, the RM of Rudy must obtain a Custom Work Form from the landowner (this form can be found in the Forms section). Once the form is signed, the RM must be contacted each time the service is desired.
Custom Work
The following rates apply for custom work in the RM of Rudy:
Ratepayer: $200.00/hour
Non-Ratepayer: $300.00/hour
Waste Disposal Services
The RM of Rudy has an agreement with the Town of Outlook for the RM of Rudy ratepayers to haul their household garbage to the Outlook Waste Disposal site (landfill). The loads are recorded at the gate and the Town of Outlook invoices the RM for the fees. The RM of Rudy supports only the centralized waste disposal grounds at Outlook. Those ratepayers who choose to use other waste disposal sites must make private arrangements and pay the required fee with the other owners/operators for those sites. There are applicable landfill fees for large loads.

Recycling Bin
The RM of Rudy has a recycling bin located along the west side of the old shop, across from the RM of Rudy office located in Broderick. Only certain materials can be recycled, please refer below for Lorass recycling guidelines.
Pesticide Disposal Site
The ratepayers of RM of Rudy can dispose chemical containers at the Rack(Located in Broderick) as well as the Riverbend Coop Agro ( Located just of the #219 Highway east of Broderick).
Municipal Tank Loading Facility
A water tank loading facility is located in Outlook at the Water Treatment Plant located along Railway Avenue. This site provides potable water at a charge of $2.25 per 1.0 m3.
