We are making steady progress on the development of our draft Emergency Measures Plan in collaboration with LS Consulting and Casa Boldt Consulting Corporation, with implementation scheduled for the end of the year.
This plan is a vital tool for guiding our response in the event of a state of emergency and ensuring the safety and preparedness of our community.
The Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake, the Town of Rose Valley and the Village of Fosston with have both individual and joint emergency plans to ensure a coordinated approach across all local jurisdictions. This important work is being supported by the TSS grant, which is covering 75% of the total cost.
We’re also pleased to welcome our new EMO Coordinator, Robert Wells, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. We look forward to working with him as we continue to strengthen our emergency response capabilities
