DESCRIPTION:Council Meeting\nThe R.M. of Laurier No. 38 typically holds its regular Council meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office at 505 Healy Ave\, Radville\, SK. \nCouncil Meeting Attendance & Delegation Requests\nPublic Attendance\nThe public is welcome to attend any regular Council meeting of the R.M. of Laurier No. 38 as observers. Council meetings provide an opportunity for residents to stay informed on municipal decisions and operations. Observers are not permitted to address Council unless formally scheduled as a delegation. \nBecoming a Delegation\nIndividuals or groups wishing to speak at a Council meeting must request to appear as a delegation in accordance with the R.M.’s Council Procedures Bylaw. There are two types of delegation requests: \n1. Delegation on an Item Already on the Council Agenda \nIf you wish to speak to an item that already appears on a Council agenda: \n\n\nSubmit a written request to the RM Office no later than four (4) hours prior to the start of the meeting (agenda deadline). \n\n\nYour request must include: \n\n\nName and mailing address of the spokesperson \n\n\nDaytime contact number \n\n\nSignature of the delegate or representative \n\n\nA clear statement of the topic and request being made to Council \n\n\n\n\nNote: If a request is received after the agenda deadline\, Council must pass a motion to allow the delegation to speak. \n2. Delegation on a Matter Not on the Council Agenda \nIf you wish to raise a new topic not already on the agenda: \n\n\nSubmit a written request to the RM Office no later than 24 hours before the agenda deadline (i.e.\, 28 hours before the meeting). \n\n\nYour request must include the same details as above. \n\n\nNote: The Administrator may consult the Reeve and may refuse a request if the same matter was already addressed by Council within the previous six (6) months. \nSpeaking at the Meeting \n\n\nDelegations are limited to one presentation per topic. \n\n\nA maximum of 30 minutes is allotted per delegation unless extended by Council resolution. \n\n\nDelegations may not engage in debate or rebuttals. \n\n\nCouncil members may ask questions for clarification only. \n\n\nFor more information or to request a delegation form\, please contact the RM Office at rm.38@sasktel.net or 306-869-2255.
