The information below explains how meetings work, what residents can expect, and how to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Regular Council Meetings are held on the <strong>second Wednesday of each month<\/strong>\u00a0in the Council Chambers at the RM Office, unless otherwise noted in the <a href=\"https:\/\/oursask.info\/rm39\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/Annual-Meeting-Date-Notice-2026-RM.pdf\">Annual Meeting Date Notice 2026 (RM)<\/a>. Meeting dates are subject to change. Any updates will be posted at the RM Office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Council follows a formal agenda that includes reports, correspondence, bylaws, financial matters, and other municipal business.\u00a0 Items submitted by the public or outside agencies are reviewed as part of the regular meeting unless they require special notice or a public hearing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics Council May Discuss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Council may consider a wide range of municipal matters, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Road closures, lane closures, or intersection modifications<\/li>\n<li>Sale, lease, or disposal of municipal land or buildings<\/li>\n<li>Selling or leasing land below fair market value<\/li>\n<li>Business restrictions or separation distances<\/li>\n<li>Borrowing, lending, or guaranteeing loans<\/li>\n<li>Special taxes and use of special\u2011tax revenue<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing policies<\/li>\n<li>Sale or lease of municipal mines and minerals<\/li>\n<li>Establishing business improvement districts<\/li>\n<li>Council or committee remuneration<\/li>\n<li>Changing the number of councillors or establishing wards<\/li>\n<li>Amending or repealing bylaws that originally required public notice<\/li>\n<li>Matters requiring a public hearing under The Municipalities Act<\/li>\n<li>Issues brought forward through valid public petitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Observers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Members of the public are welcome to attend regular council meetings as observers. Observers may listen to the discussion and follow the agenda but do not participate in debate unless they are scheduled as a delegation.<\/p>\n<p>If meeting dates or times change, updates will be posted at the RM Office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delegations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Residents, businesses, or organizations wishing to speak directly to Council may request to appear as a <strong>delegation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To be added to the agenda:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit a <strong>written, legible request<\/strong> to the RM Office <strong>no later than the Wednesday before the meeting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Delegations may include <strong>up to four representatives<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Presentations are limited to <strong>15 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Delegations provide an opportunity to share information, raise concerns, or request action from Council. Council may ask questions for clarification but typically makes decisions later in the meeting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submitting Information to Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All correspondence submitted to Council becomes part of the official meeting record and is public.<br \/>\nTo be included on the agenda, materials must be submitted <strong>by the Wednesday prior to the
