These bylaws are created to support public safety, maintain community standards, and ensure responsible governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f When Are Bylaws Established?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bylaws are prepared when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Council delegates specific responsibilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residents are required or permitted to take\u2014or refrain from\u2014certain actions under <strong>Section 8 of The Municipalities Act<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provincial or Federal legislation mandates that a matter be addressed through a bylaw<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The RM of The Gap maintains several bylaws to preserve the character of our community and promote the safety, comfort, and well-being of all residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udea8 Bylaw Enforcement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RM appoints a <strong>Bylaw Enforcement Officer<\/strong> to investigate potential infractions and ensure compliance. Enforcement activities may include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enforcing weed control regulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to nuisance complaints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigating animal control violations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Commonly referenced bylaws are listed below for your reference.
