The Assessment Roll opens for 30 days (the roll is open for 60 days on revaluation years), when Assessment Notices are mailed. While the roll is open, anyone can view property assessment information for their own property and other properties within the municipality by visiting the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.samaview.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAMAView website<\/a>. Once the roll closes and any appeals are processed, tax notices are issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>SAMA (Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) is responsible for providing municipalities in Saskatchewan with the assessed values of land and improvements (buildings) for the municipality to calculate property taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more about assessments, the recorded details of your property and the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency\u2019s (SAMA) role in providing assessments for all Saskatchewan properties, please click the following link to be directed to the SAMA website click link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sama.sk.ca\/\">CLICK HERE FOR SAMA ASSESSMENT INFORMATION&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Should you have questions about your assessment, don&#8217;t hesitate to contact SAMA office. Please note they cannot answer questions related to taxation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The provincial government mandates SAMA to conduct periodic revaluations of all Saskatchewan properties every four years to coincide with the change to a new base date. An appeal should be filed by completing the form on the back of your Assessment Notice and delivering it to the Municipal Office with the appeal fee.
