The OurSask Story

Rooted in Saskatchewan. Built for Municipalities.

OurSask was created from a simple observation: while every municipality is unique, many challenges facing municipal administrators are remarkably similar.
Across Saskatchewan, municipalities are being asked to do more with limited staff and budgets, alongside increasing public expectations. New provincial legislation requiring key municipal documents to be publicly available online has reinforced that reality.

Rather than asking each municipality to solve the same problem independently, we built a shared provincial platform. A network where every municipality maintains its identity while benefiting from the strength, affordability, and efficiency of a connected system.

This is the philosophy behind OurSask’s “Many Places. One Space.”

Instead of separate websites, software systems, and support contracts, OurSask provides a common framework designed specifically for Saskatchewan municipalities. Each municipality controls its own information, manages its own documents, and maintains its own public presence, while contributing to a searchable provincial network that makes it easier for residents, businesses, developers, researchers, and visitors to find what they need.

The result is lower costs, consistent design, shared technology, and a platform that grows more valuable as participation increases.

Designed Around Municipal Administration

OurSask was never intended to be a generic website builder.
It was designed around the daily workflow of municipal administrators—publishing council minutes, managing bylaws, providing financial statements, sharing notices, and maintaining accessible records.

Every feature is built to reduce administrative effort, not add to it.

Built to Grow

The network is designed for long-term scalability. It works for a single rural municipality, a town, a village, or hundreds of communities across Saskatchewan.

As legislation and expectations evolve, municipalities need a platform that grows with them—not one that requires rebuilding every few years.

OurSask provides that foundation.

Experience Matters

OurSask is backed by a partnership with over a century of combined experience in broadcasting, digital publishing, municipal communications, technology development, and large-scale information systems.

Our team has built and operated television stations, digital news organizations, streaming platforms, municipal information services, and public-facing websites.

We understand how people search for information and how to organize large volumes of content.

Most importantly, we know municipal staff need systems that are dependable, intuitive, and practical—not complex tools that create more work.

Looking Ahead

OurSask began as a Saskatchewan solution and is becoming a model for how municipalities can collaborate through shared technology while maintaining local control. As municipalities move toward greater online transparency, connected platforms will become increasingly important.

OurSask is ready for that future.

Many Places – One Space. Many municipalities – One platform.

A shared commitment to making municipal information easier to manage, publish, and access.
