Crop Diagnostic School is a one-day event for participants. There will be two available dates to choose from: July 29 or 30. Each day will be identical in content, so each participant attends only one day. Participants are divided into five groups and rotate through our five workshop stations during the day. A total of five CEUs are available to participants: four in Integrated Pest Management and one in Soil & Water Management.
Crop Diagnostic School will go rain or shine, so participants should please come prepared for adverse weather.
The 2026 Crop Diagnostic Handbooks will be available in print for all participants. In the meantime, you can access the Crop Diagnostic handbook online. You can also check out other crop-related publications on our website and sign up for Sask Ag Now.
Who organizes and runs Crop Diagnostic School?
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture’s Crops Extension Specialist (CES) team has worked for the past 13 years to plan and run the Crop Diagnostic School. The team also works annually to edit and update the Crop Diagnostic School Handbook.
We have a team spread across 10 regional offices in the province that you can reach out to for unbiased agronomic information on crop management and for the latest updates on extension meetings in your area. If you are unable to attend Crop Diagnostic School due to its location, you can always reach out to your local crops extension specialist to see what learning opportunities can be arranged.
