π Municipal Policies
Policies are outward-facing statements that establish standards for how the RM of The Gap No. 39 operates and delivers services to the public. They provide clear guidance on how initiatives and activities will be carried out, ensuring consistency, transparency, and accountability in municipal decision-making.
ποΈ When Are Policies Developed?
A policy is prepared when:
- The RM wishes to formally communicate its position on a specific matter to residents
- Council sets guidelines for the level and manner of service the RM will provide in relation to a particular issue
- There is a need to manage recurring public-facing issues or interactions between the RM and residents, businesses, or external organizations
Policies help ensure that our services are delivered fairly and consistently, while also keeping the community informed about how decisions are made.
This list is not a complete list of policies adopted by the RM of The Gap, but rather a collection of policies most requested and of interest. Please contact the municipal office if you have any questions.
